Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (known as Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles in the Republic of Ireland, Germany, and Sweden) is an American animated television series produced by Murakami-Wolf-Swenson, Inc. It premiered December 14, 1987, first as a five-part mini-series. The series features the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters created in comic book form by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, and the property was changed considerably from the darker-toned comic in order to make it more suitable for children.

The show was in Saturday morning syndication from October 1, 1988 to September 23, 1989. After becoming an instant hit, the show was expanded to five days a week and aired weekday afternoons in syndication in most markets, from September 25, 1989 to September 17, 1993. On September 8, 1990, the series began its secondary run on CBS's Saturday morning lineup, beginning as a 60-minute block from 1990 to 1994 and then as a 30 minute block until November 2, 1996.

The show helped launch the characters into mainstream popularity and became one of the most popular animated series in television history. Breakfast cereals, plush toys, and all manner of products featuring the characters appeared on the market during the late 1980s and early 1990s. A successful Archie Comics comic book based on the animated show instead of the original black-and-white comics was published throughout the 1990s. Action figures were top-sellers around the world. In 1990, the cartoon series was being shown daily on more than 125 television stations, and the comic books sold 125,000 copies a month.

At the time of its final episode, it was the longest running animated series in American television history. The record was beaten two years later by The Simpsons.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is an American animated television series set in New York City. It first aired on February 8, 2003 and marked the revival of the franchise by Fox, with the help of 4Kids Entertainment, as a Saturday morning cartoon in Fox's Fox Box programming block (now known as 4Kids TV). The 2003 TMNT animated series was produced by Mirage Studios, which owns one third of the rights to the show. As of October 2005, it is the oldest American animated series on 4Kids TV.

phael: We're dealing with a real mind here.

onardo: It's gotta be a trap. phael: I hate it when he says that.

natello: Hang on, April! You wouldn't last five minutes in a Ninja pizzaria! I love saying lines like that.

cksteady: You sure this gonna give us them powers? redder: Of course. Although you may have a little trouble getting a date on Saturday night.

natello: [a piece of paper with a sword through it is hurled at the turtles' table] What is that? Some kind of threatening message? phael: Worse than that, it's the check!

ril O'Neil: This is great. I must really be on to something hot if they're trying to kill me.

onardo: We turtles don't know the meaning of the word 'defeat'. chaelangelo: That's right. We never bothered to look it up in the dictionary.

chaelangelo: [they're pushing a van up the stairs] Couldn't we have maybe taken the elevator?

onardo: Where's the Shredder? xter Stockman: I'll never talk. phael: You'd better, or else I'm gonna get... Sarcastic.

natello: Lady, would you please leave? id: Now, I won't be any bother to you. natello: Let me put it this way. [lifts the mask to reveal his turtle face] Scram! id: Mr. Baxter, you've been working too hard. You look kinda green.

onardo: I think they're starting to tire. phael: Great. In a few more hours, they'll barely be able to throw a car at us. chaelangelo: So, like, why don't we throw some trucks at them?

cksteady: [throws Leo and Raph against the wall] Aw, did I hurt youse? This'll make it better! [fires his gun at them]

natello: April, stay here. ril O'Neil: Ohhh! Again?

redder: Join me. phael: Does the phrase 'go suck a lemon' have many meaning to you?

terminator: Get rid of all rats, eh? What are you, crazy? You wanna drive me out of business?

natello: What kind of idiot puts his name on a death machine? phael: An idiot with an ego problem.

redder: Destroy them all! Ha ha. Aw it feels so good to be so bad.

ang: Great shooting, Tragg. I'm gonna pin a metal on you as soon as I get a pair of hands.

sk: They're Krang's Stone Warriors from Dimension X. They're bad. phael: Uh yeah, I guessed that. You got any weapons on those hot rods? sk: Of course, they're required by law.

ril O'Neil: Who are they? Let's interrogate them. chaelangelo: Relax, April, they're cool. sk: Cool? Daddy-O, we are frozen. ril O'Neil: Why is it I never understand what's going on?

phael: Gee Michaelangelo, I didn't know you could drive. chaelangelo: Well, I can't. Cowabunga!

chaelangelo: You know what I saw? It was this humungous brain. It had a mouth and eyes and it talked to me! phael: A talking brain, huh? chaelangelo: Yeah. Weird, huh? phael: Michaelangelo, I do believe you've finally had one pizza too many.

chaelangelo: April sure was mad. natello: Ah well, you know women. phael: No we don't. She's the first one we ever met.

bop: [a Roadkill Rodney just broke them out of their cage] What took you so long? adkill Rodney: The Shredder wants to have a talk with you. cksteady: Um, you couldn't maybe put us back in the cage, could you?

natello: But us, turtles, why must we stand alone against the forces of evil? chaelangelo: Face it, man, it's the only job we're qualified for. natello: Oh yeah, you're right.

The lean, mean, green fighting machines are back in an all-new action packed series! Leonardo, Raphael, Michaelangelo and Raphael must save New York City from the evil crimelord Shredder and his assistant, Baxter Stockman.
