"Sparks" is the fourth single from the Norwegian duo Röyksopp's first album Melody A.M..

"Sparks" is an instrumental by The Who, which originally featured on the album Tommy (1969). It was usually performed live as a medley with "Amazing Journey", but has also appeared as part of "My Generation" on the album Live at Leeds (1970). The musical theme of the second part of Sparks is reprised more comprehensively in Underture which is on most album pressings of Tommy, however Underture is often skipped in live performances. This theme was originally from the middle section of The Who's 1967 mini-opera "Rael" on The Who Sell Out.

The track may be an early example of slack tuned acoustic guitars on the studio recording, which is in the key of C#, whereas subsequent live versions are played in the key of E.

The song was featured in the movie Almost Famous as Patrick Fugit's character, William Miller, is discovering the collection of music given to him by his sister. Even though Crowe uses the original studio recording on the soundtrack album, in the movie, he splices the beginning section of the studio version, with the middle and "Underture" sections of the live version from "Live at Leeds". Also, the beginning of Sparks is featured on a commercial for Gatorade's G2.
