Paulus ("Paul") Henriqus Benedictus Cox (born April 16, 1940 in Venlo, Limburg) is an award-winning Australian-based film director.
Born in the Netherlands, Cox emigrated to Australia. He has collaborated with a number of screenwriters including John Clarke and Bob Ellis.
His recent film-essay The Remarkable Mr. Kaye is a portrait of his ill friend, the actor Norman Kaye, who appeared in numerous Cox films.
Paul Cox is the current conductor of the Reading Youth Orchestra. He took on this role in 2006, succeeding Christopher Walker. Cox is also Head of Strings at Southampton University. He has broadcast on the BBC, Independent Radio Network and Swiss Radio. He set up the Eureka Foundation in 1997 and is still serving the organisation as its chairman.
