Paris Grey (born as Shanna Jackson on November 5, 1965, in Glencoe, Illinois, USA) is an American singer, most known for her work with the Detroit-based, techno music producer Kevin Saunderson, as Inner City. The group found international crossover success in the late 1980s with a mixture of solid electronic beats, sweeping synthetic strings, and Paris' soulful vocals on tracks such as "Good Life," "Big Fun," and "Ain't Nobody Better."
Grey recorded three Inner City albums, a Detroit Techno compilation, and an extended mix collection of Inner City tracks. A notable project for Grey prior to joining Inner City was the Chicago House 12-inch club hit "Don't Make Me Jack (Tonite I Wanna House You)" on Housetime Records. Originally, Grey sang gospel music.
