"Over My Head (Better Off Dead)" is a song by Sum 41 from their album Does This Look Infected? Released as the last single of the record, it was the least popular single off the album but received a lot of airplay in Canada. This is said to be bassist Cone McCaslin's favorite song off the album .
An acoustic version of the song can be found on iTunes.
The video was released in Canada, Japan and the UK only. It shows assorted backstage footage and concert clips.
Over My Head is a rock song performed by Anglo-American music group Fleetwood Mac. The song was written by group keyboardist/vocalist Christine McVie. In December, 1975 "Over My Head" was released as the lead single from the LP album entitled Fleetwood Mac. It was the first song ever by the band Fleetwood Mac to achieve 'hit' status in the United States by appearing on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart (#20 in early 1976). Its success helped the group's eponymous 1975 album to sell 4.5 million copies. McVie has stated that she composed the song using an old, upright piano in a small apartment in Malibu, California, where she and then husband, Fleetwood Mac bassist John McVie resided after completing a concert tour to promote the previous Fleetwood Mac LP album Heroes Are Hard to Find. Though never confirmed by McVie, the song's lyric appears to suggest that it refers to the troubled McVie marriage, which would end in divorce in 1976. The single version of the song, released for radio airplay was a re-mixed, edited version that is noticeably different than the version appearing on the Fleetwood Mac album.
"Over My Head (Cable Car)" (originally performed as "Cable Car") is an alternative rock song by Colorado-based rock band The Fray on their debut album How to Save a Life (2005). It was their debut single from the album, and hit the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The single helped propel their album from the Top Heatseekers chart to the top 20 of The Billboard 200 chart. The single is available exclusively as a digital download. Some CD singles of the song were given out to attendees of a concert on December 17, 2004. The CD single was backed with "Heaven Forbid" and a live version of "Hundred". In the UK, "Over My Head (Cable Car)" will be released as the second single from the album, following "How to Save a Life".
