Out of Nothing is the fourth album by English rock band Embrace, first released in 2004 (see 2004 in music). It went straight in at number one in the official charts. It was a much-anticipated release, as Embrace had not released any new material for three years. Their debut album, The Good Will Out, was a much-celebrated success, and great things were expected. However, the "difficult second album" Drawn from Memory, was seen by many as over-produced (the band famously claimed to have spent "365 days" in the studio) and their final studio album for old label Hut Records, If You've Never Been was not well received. Embrace moved to Independiente Records and, re-energised, produced their fourth album to critical acclaim. The album's first track, "Ashes", was recently used in an episode of The CW television show Veronica Mars.The album went double platinum selling more than 600,000 copies in the UK making it their best selling album and their most critically acclaimed since their debut.
