Nick Oshiro (born March 3, 1975) is an American musician, best known as the current drummer of the industrial metal band Static-X. He has previously played with the South African hard rock band Seether. He started out with a drumkit made by his father as he stated in an interview with Tama. It was made of old pots and pans, of which his father made a whole kit from. Already at the age of ten, he wanted to be a rockstar after seeing a Whitesnake video. He was formerly a drummer for the South African rock band Seether, which he left in 2003. He then joined Static-X as a Tour Only Drummer but eventually became a full-time member. While on tour on April 11th 2007 in Dallas, he broke his hand and was replaced for a short time. Nick Oshiro uses a Tama drumkit (it's a Starclassic Maple (Blue Galaxy Fade)), and uses Sabian cymbals. Some of his influences are Abe Cunningham, Morgan Rose and Tim Alexander. He also runs the Static-X Myspace. One of his interests include Fishing.
