Muscle Beach Party is the second of the 'Beach Party films'. It was made in 1964 by American International Pictures and was directed by William Asher. While the film score was composed by Les Baxter, some of the film's songs were composed by the team of Gary Usher, Roger Christian, and Brian Wilson. Dick Dale and the Del-Tones and Stevie Wonder appear in musical numbers, the latter aged thirteen and making his film debut, billed as 'Little Stevie Wonder.'
Julie, a wealthy contessa managed by S.Z. Matts, wants muscle-man Flex Martin, trained by Jack Fanny, for her own - until she meets Frankie. Frankie's girl Dee Dee gets rightfully jealous and plans to avenge the Frankie-stealing contessa. Mr. Strangdour appears briefly as the king of the strongmen. Written by alfiehitchie
Second Beach Party movie has Frankie, Dee Dee, and the beach gang hitting the Malibu beach for another summer of surfing only to find their hangout beach threatened by a small gang of muscle bodybuilders, led by the dim-witted coach Jack Fanny, who move in next door to them. Things get even more complicated with the arrival of a third party, that of a wealthy Italian contessa, named Julie, with her manager S.Z. Matts, and her lawyer, Theodore, who come chasing after Jack Fanny's muscle group for Julie to court the muscle king Flex Martian. But when Julie turns her sights on Frankie, Dee Dee becomes more jealous than anyone else in the picture. Written by Matthew Patay
