Matthew Todd Lauer (December 30, 1957) . American television personality, best known as a co-host of NBC's The Today Show (since 1994) after being a news anchor in New York "Matt Lauer - Filmography", . and a local talk-show host in Boston, Philadelphia, Providence, and Richmond. He was also host of PM Magazine (or "Evening Magazine" 1980-1986) and worked for ESPN in the 1980s as a sideline reporter.

Matt was educated at Ohio University, Athens, Ohio where he majored in communications. He was hired for internship and quit school in 1979 - four credits shy of graduation. Matt later obtained the degree in 1997 by writing a paper on work experience and delivering the commencement address. Matt's first wife was Nancy Alspaugh, born in 1955, a TV producer.
