Markku Lappalainen (born April 6, 1973 in Finland) is the former bassist of the band Hoobastank. He was in the band from 1997 until 2005. Why Markku left the band is not clear. He left after Hoobastank's 2005 summer tour. He has since been replaced by Josh Moreau. He currently owns a hair salon.
