Marc Cherry (born March 23, 1962) is an American writer and producer. He is best known for being the creator of the show Desperate Housewives.
Has a lovely tenor voice - performed a song ("Beautiful Girls") and dance for journalists when ABC announced its 2005-2006 schedule, which, of course, included the renewal of "Desperate Housewives" (2004).
Once worked as a personal assistant to Dixie Carter (I).
In his cameo on "Arrested Development" (2003), he was the subject of a morality protest spearheaded by Ann, George Michael's fundamentalist Christian girlfriend; in his real life, Cherry employed the star of "Arrested Development" (2003), Jason Bateman, in the series "Some of My Best Friends" (2001).
