Lisa Coleman (b. 10 July 1970, Charing Cross, London) is an actress and volunteer occupational therapist, best known for her roles in BBC TV programmes The Story of Tracy Beaker, Casualty and has guest starred in The Bill.
Coleman attended Anna Scher's Theatre School at age six, going on to complete secondary education and A-levels. Having worked in television at various times since the early 1980s, in the mid 1990s she began a Bachelors degree in Psychology with the UK Open University, leaving Casualty in 1997 in part to concentrate on her studies.
She finally attended her graduation ceremony in June 2005, and in a subsequent interview for the OU's alumni magazine SESAME expressed her desire to continue working with the National Health Service and long-term aim to earn a Master of Arts degree. Coleman went on to say of her career, possibly indicating her intention to quit acting at some point: Lisa Coleman is the sister of the late television and movie actress Charlotte Coleman.
Lisa Coleman (born August 17, 1960) is an American musician. Coleman plays piano and keyboards.
Coleman's father, Gary Coleman (not to be confused with the actor) was a session musician in the 1960s and 70s and formed a friendship with fellow musician Mike Melvoin. Their families became close with each other and often played and recorded music together; Lisa Coleman formed a close relationship with Mike's daughter Wendy Melvoin that would continue throughout their lives and careers.
