Lenworth George Henry CBE, (born 29 August 1958), is a British writer, comedian and actor.

Lenny Henry in Pieces (2000-2003) was a British stand-up and sketch show by comedians Lenny Henry and Gina Yashere. It aired on BBC One.

The show began with two Christmas specials in 2000 and 2001. The 2000 show won the Golden Rose of Montreux award. This was followed up by a six-part series in March 2002. A second and final series consisting of seven episodes began in March 2003. It is unlikely that the show will return, as The Lenny Henry Show (2004) also features sketches and is set to return for more series.

The primary feature of the show is the sketches, although Henry has a brief stand-up section in each episode.

The Lenny Henry Show was a comedy sketch show featuring Lenny Henry. It ran for two seasons on BBC 1, in 1984 and 1985. Each season had six episodes. A 40-minute "special" was aired in December 1987.

Recurring guests include Nicholas Lyndhurst (3 episodes) and Robbie Coltrane (2 episodes).

Two further series followed in a sitcom format, starring Henry as Delbert Wilkins, a well-meaning but trouble-prone pirate radio DJ. At the end, Wilkins went "legit", gaining a job with the BBC World Service, and a son.

Lenworth George Henry was born on August 29, 1958, in Dudley, West Midlands in England to a family of Jamaican immigrants. He made his TV debut on a talent show called "New Faces" in 1975 at the age of 16. He won and went on to things such as "Fosters, The" (1976) and "Tiswas" (1974), which was when his career as a comedian took off. In 1989, Lenny Henry made the stand-up comedy movie Lenny Live and Unleashed (1989), which caught the eyes of the Walt Disney Company, which gave him the lead role in the American movie True Identity (1991) and a contract to do two other Disney films for about US$1 million. The movie flopped, bringing in less than US$5 million. The contract was canceled, and Lenny got half of what he would have if he had done the three films. Lenny is now becoming well-known in the United States for the role of Gareth Blackstock in the hit BBC show "Chef!" (1993).
