Kevin James O'Connor (born November 15, 1963) is an American actor known for playing character roles in major studio movies such as The Mummy, Clive Barker's Lord of Illusions, F/X 2 and as Igor in the 2004 movie Van Helsing. He is a favorite of writer/director Stephen Sommers, who usually casts him in his films.
Kevin J. O'Connor is an attorney appointed by President George W. Bush and unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate as Connecticut’s 48th United States Attorney in 2002. As of April 26, 2007, Mr. O'Connor serves as Chief of Staff to United States Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales. From January to April 2006, Mr. O'Connor served as Associate Deputy Attorney General of the United States.
Kevin's first dream was to be a cartoonist, but in later years decided to go to stage. Trained in Chicago, he first appeared in 1986's Peggy Sue Got Married (1986). He has since then appeared in over 30 films and ABC's short-lived "Gideon's Crossing" (2000). He most recently appeared in 'Stephen Sommer''s (with whom he also appeared in Mummy, The (1999) and Deep Rising (1998)) Van Helsing (2004), as Igor.
