"Just a Friend" is a 1989 comedic and romantic hip hop song by rapper Biz Markie, in which he alternates between rap and singing. In the video for this song, he wore a powdered wig and 18th-century clothing. It was also his only successful single, reaching the #11 position on the Billboard charts.

The song samples are from the original 1968 song "You Got What I Need" (1968) by singer/songwriter Freddie Scott. It was later named the 81st best one-hit wonder of all time by VH1.
