John Welsh (born January 10, 1984 in Liverpool) is an English football player who plays on loan for Chester City from Hull City. He was also captain of the England under-20 team, and has been capped eight times for the under-21s. He represented England U20 at 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship.
John Welsh (7 November 1904, Wexford – 21 April 1985, London) was an Irish actor.
After an early stage career in Dublin, Welsh moved into British film and television in the 1950s. His roles included James Forsyte in the 1967 BBC dramatisation of John Galsworthy's The Forsyte Saga, as well as the butler Merriman in The Duchess of Duke Street. He also appeared in To Serve Them All My Days and The Citadel, and he played the assistant chief constable in the early series of Softly, Softly.
