"I Wonder" is the second single from Kellie Pickler's debut album, Small Town Girl. The song's official release date is March 5, 2007. Pickler described the song as being about the "relationship that she doesn't have with her mother", because she was abandoned when she was little and raised by her grandparents. Kellie always gets emotional whenever she performs or talks about the song.

Billboard magazine described the song as "country music at its finest by one of this year's most impressive young artists." In spring of 2007, the song prompted Kellie's mother, Cynthia Morton, to write her a letter.
