I'm Your Baby Tonight is the third album by American Pop/R&B singer Whitney Houston. After being criticised by the black community for her previous crossover pop albums, Houston took a more urban direction. Released in November 1990, the album peaked at #3 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart, went on to be certified 4x platinum in the United States, and spun two number-one hit singles – the title track and "All the Man That I Need" plus two Top 20 hits – Miracle and "My Name Is Not Susan". This album also had a Japanese Version which featured the tracks "Higher Love" (Steven Winwood Remake), and "Takin A Chance". Takin A Chance went to No.1 in Japan.
Following the run of this album, Houston continued to achieve widespread commercial success throughout the 1990s, venturing heavily into films—while continuing to record via their adjoining soundtrack albums. Subsequently, I'm Your Baby Tonight wouldn't be followed up with another studio album until 1998's My Love Is Your Love. Current album sales stand at 15 million.
