Beau M. Billingslea (born September 1, 1953) is an American actor and voice actor. He is best known as the voice of Jet Black from the very popular anime Cowboy Bebop. In addition to voice acting, Billingslea has appeared in many popular TV series as a prolific guest actor. Before he got into acting, he played football at the University of Connecticut.
Mostly known for his voicework of African-American or muscular bulky male characters in animes and video games.
Was a captain in the military (a JAG).
Father was born in Macon, Georgia and his mother was born in Malensis, South Carolina.
Beau was offered a contract to play baseball out of high school with the Kansas City Athletics. However, his dad told him that he had to go to college, and he did - on a football scholarship!.
Was a quarterback in his High School's football team.
Started acting professionally while he attended law school.
Beau's favorite anime role to date is Jet Black from the anime series "Cowboy Bebop.".
Beau's son is an attorney.
