"Baby" is the third single released by Ashanti from her 2002 self titled debut album Ashanti. It musically interpolates Scarface's song "Mary Jane", which was also produced (ghost) by 7 Aurelius.
The video features actress Nia Long, who also directed the video. The album peaked in the top 20 of the US Billboard Hot 100.

It also was produced by Krouch, and released as the album's second single in January 1995 (see 1995 in music). While the song spent four weeks on top of the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, it reached number 4 on the Hot 100 and the New Zealand singles chart, and number 16 in Australia.
